Welded wire mesh is used in cabinet door design. Instead of a solid wood or veneer cabinet door, a door with welded wire mesh may be chosen because it is so lightweight or because of its striking visual interest. Welded wire mesh often gives the appearance of a grid or grille, and is often best suited when it is desirable for the contents behind the door to be on partial display.
