In cabinetmaking, the reveal refers to the amount of a face frame that is exposed between the doors of the cabinets. This does not apply to frameless cabinets or those with a full overlay, since there is no space in between doors to be revealed. In 1/2” overlay cabinets, the reveal will be somewhat wider than in the case of 1” overlay cabinets.
