Partial overlay cabinets have doors that leave some of the face frame between doors visible. With full overlay cabinets, on the other hand, this face frame is covered up entirely. Partial overlay cabinets are less expensive to manufacture and have traditionally been the more popular choice, though homeowners often find the sleek look of the full overlay style appealing.
