Gloss Finish

The gloss level that is in a paint indicates how shiny the paint is. Flat paint has very little to no shine and is best-suited for applications where it is preferable for light to be absorbed rather than reflected, such as ceilings or door or cabinet moldings. Satin finish, also known as eggshell, is another low-gloss finish. Gloss paint, in addition to creating a striking visual effect, is also easier to clean and thus a good choice for bathroom and kitchen design.
