Fake drawer fronts, also known as false door fronts, give the illusion of a drawer when in fact there is no drawer box behind it. Typically, they are chosen in cabinet design to provide a continuous line with other functioning drawers in a set of cabinets. One of the most common places to find a fake drawer front is in kitchen and bathroom sink base cabinets, in which case the fake drawer front covers up the plumbing inside the cabinet.
