Drawer Face

The front part of a drawer or the drawer face, sometimes also referred to as a façade, is what is visible even when the drawer is all the way closed. It looks different from the other wood pieces of the drawer and is usually somewhat taller and wider. Because of the physical pulling force when opening and closing the drawer, the drawer face is attached to the rest of the drawer with joints that have high tensile strength, such as dovetail joints.
