Butt doors are doors for cabinets that open out towards one another and butt against each other when they are completely open. They can also be double doors on a cabinet that do not have a center stile, or strip vertically dividing a cabinet opening, in between them. They are frequently found on smaller cabinets that lack a center stile, which ultimately provides greater storage capacity because it is not divided down the middle.
